Hi friends! Welcome to the weekly posts where I try to filter and curate everything I found on the internet this past week, unannounced period of time.

Every once in a while, I try to move away from Google Chrome and Google search. I tried the big players in the browser game, safari, Firefox, arc, opera… For the past few months, I’ve been able to stick with Brave, but I haven’t found any search engine like google. I tried DuckDuckGo, kagi, but nothing beats the local search experience that the big G offers. On top of that, I mostly do my searches like: “Whatever I want information about” + Reddit or + Wikipedia. I also tried to use Reddit as my search engine, but this is a story for another post.
Overall the current setup of Brave + Reddit + Wikipedia search is working pretty well, but the people at Brave introduced Brave Rerank or as they describe it: an easy way for users to customize Brave Search rankings by boosting or removing domains from search results. I will give it a try as I think it’s an interesting way to have a personalized search engine.

I’m not a big video game player, but sometimes I install some games that catch my attention. The latest addition to the list has been LOK I know… seeing at their website the awards and nominations, I’m probably the last one to know about this gem. I like the simplicity of it, a classic puzzle game where you have to build the word LOK as many times as possible (It’s an oversimplification of the mechanics, but you get me). Doing the research for this blog post, I saw that the video game is actually an evolution of a book with the same name where you can play with pen and paper. Very interesting concept.
